It’s a mixed bag for sure, but it’s a really rough group out there. I honestly don’t get #1 at all. I know the games all to well and I’m just not seeing it. And one name for Blizzard? Say what you want about the game, they influence the market like few others, and have for a long time now.
Bioware is new to the genre, but they are a huge name. So combine the Bioware name, the Star Wars IP, and the budget on that title, and it’s a big deal. Especially in an industry that is as tight as this one has been recently.
Hard to say who is Influencing a genre that is, for the most part, struggling (and sometimes failing) to keep it’s head above water.
